Biography

Andy Wilson is a British poker player and World Poker Tour (WPT) champion with over $1.4 million in live tournament earnings.

Wilson had his biggest career moment when he took down the 2022 Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open (RRPO) $3,500 Main Event at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for $785,800 after conquering one of the toughest final tables in WPT history. That final table included defending champion Gediminas Uselis, three-time champion Brian Altman and two-time champion Chad Eveslage.

Wilson, who got his poker start playing online during the pandemic, had two close calls to winning his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. In August 2020, he finished second in a WSOP Online $400 Forty Stack event for $169,128, and a year later he finished runner-up in $1,000 NLH Super Turbo at the 2021 WSOP for $99,742.

The British grinder has since moved up in stakes and finished 10th in a 2022 EPT Barcelona €10,300 High Roller for $80,903. The same year, he finished fourth in a PokerGO Aria High Roller for $57,000.
