Angela Jordison is a professional poker player from Oregon who really burst onto the scene in 2022 when she nearly won GPI Female Player of the Year.
Although she's been playing cards for many years and has had success on the felt, in 2022 she took off and became a big-time tournament player. Jordison narrowly lost out to Cherish Andrews for that coveted award, but will have plenty of more chances at winning in the future.
Entering the 2023 calendar year, she had cracked the $930,000 lifetime live tournament cashes mark, according to Hendon Mob. She racked up over $590,000 in cashes in 2022, more than doubling her previous totals.
Jordison's breakout score came in June 2022 at the World Series of Poker when she finished third for $151,544 in Event #18: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout. Prior to that, she had a couple of impressive cashes, however, including a fifth place finish for $48,444 in a December 2021 Mid-States Poker Tour Main Event in South Dakota.
Following her near WSOP bracelet win, Jordison ran deep in the WSOP Main Event in July 2022, taking 175th place out of 8,663 players for $53,900.
One month later, in Los Angeles, she took down an $1,110 buy in no-limit hold'em tournament at WPT Legends of Poker series for $84,400.
