David Docherty is a Scottish poker player who won the 2023 �1,150 Irish Open Main Event for $398,780.
Docherty's career-best victory at the Irish Poker Open came after he qualified into the event on PokerStars for $109. The six-figure payday pushed him over a million in live earnings and moved him to fifth on Scotland's all-time money list.
Docherty has won other major tournaments as well, including the 2021 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Luton ��1,100 No Limit Hold'em Main Event for $188,885 and the 2022 France Poker Series Divonne les Bains �2,000 High Roller for $50,738.
In October 2022, Docherty finished seventh in the EPT London ��5,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event for $117,228 to be denied an EPT title.
Docherty has also had success at the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE), including a 36th-place finish in the 2009 WSOPE London Main Event for $34,855.
In November 2023, Docherty took down the ��3,200 Super High Roller at the PokerStars UKIPT Nottingham festival for ��46,180. The victory also locked in the 2023 UKIPT Player of the year title.
