Erland Melsom is a Norwegian poker player best known for winning Event #49: $3,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas.
Before his bracelet win, Melsom only had a handful of live poker tournament results on his Hendon Mob profile. The first was a sixth-place finish in the 2011 PokerStars European Poker Tour Tallinn Main Event, which earned him �45,000.
His next result wasn't for another two years, a third-place finish in the �880 Main Event of the JP Masters and Norwegian Championships in Dublin. That day, Melsom collected a career-best �57,815.
Melsom cashed in the 2016 WSOP Main Event for $15,000 then had three cashes in his native Norway between November 2016 and October 2022.
His victory in the $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2024 WSOP came with Melsom's first bracelet, and a career-high score worth $523,195.
