George Danzer is a German poker player. He is a four-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, tied for most by a German with DominiK Nitsche. Only three other Europeans have won four WSOP bracelets.
He is a former PokerStars Team Pro.
Biography
Danzer was born on 17th July 1983 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In his youth, he represented Portugal in the World Youth Chess Championship before turning his attention to poker.

Between 2009 and 2014, Danzer won six COOP titles and made a name for himself as a mixed game specialist, with only two of his six titles coming in NLHE events.

Danzer at the World Series of Poker
Danzer's first WSOP cash came in 2006, with his first final table coming in 2007. He followed that up with a third-place finish in the $10,000 2-7 Single Draw Championship in 2010.
In 2012, Danzer cashed in only two events but recorded podium finishes in both, as his reputation for a mixed game specialist came to the fore.
Three more cashes would follow in 2013 before the 2014 WSOP came around.
In 2014, Danzer cashed in 10 WSOP events, made five final tables, earned $867,649, and won three gold bracelets en-route to being named WSOP Player of the Year.
His first came in the $10,000 Razz Championship, defeating Brandon Shack-Harris heads-up. He then followed that up with victory in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo, just 11 days after his first bracelet win. He became the first player to win two Championship Events in the same year.
Danzer added a third bracelet in the second edition of the WSOP Asia-Pacific (APAC), winning the A$5,000 8-Game Mix.
In 2016, Danzer added a fourth WSOP bracelet in 2016 after winning the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship.
