In 2021 Park would pick up his bit of WSOP hardware, winning a WSOP ring at the 2021 WSOP.com Circuit - Summer Online Circuit. Park triumphed in WSOP Summer Circuit Event #8 - $50,000 GTD NLH Deep Turbo 2x Re-entry for $14,398. Just four months later, Park would secure his biggest payday to date following his sixth place finish in the 2021 WSOP Main Event for a whopping $1.4 million.

Park ended Day 6 with the chip lead after back-to-back eliminations saw him move above 15 million in chips. He held ace-king in two separate hands against Jon Shoreman and Gabriel Sack, besting the ace-nine and ace-five of his opponents respectively.

By the end of the day, that 15 million had almost doubled as he led the survivors into Day 7. An early double from Jack Oliver reined him in, and after the three table seat draw he was seated with Koray Aldemir, tussling with the aggressive German on numerous occasions.

Fittingly, it would be Aldemir who crushed Park's quest to Main Event glory, Park limped in from the small blind and Koray Aldemir raised to 3,800,000 in the big blind. Park limp-shoved all in with pocket sevens for 20,600,000 and Aldemir snap-called it off with ace-queen offsuit.

The flop came down K?8?2? and the German rail yelled for the appropriate Broadway cards to swing Aldemir into the lead.

That happened exactly when the Q? hit the felt on the turn, pairing Aldemir up and giving Park just the two remaining sevens to save his Main Event. The dealer burned and turned the 9? on the river for Park to make his way to the payout desk.
