James Romero, a University of Oregon Business School graduate, has more than $5.6 million in lifetime tournament earnings (as of January 2023) according to the Hendon Mob. That places him in third place behind only Seth Davies and Chris Brewer on Oregon��s all-time poker money list.
Romero��s biggest score of $1,938,118 when he won the 2016 World Poker Tour (WPT) Five Diamond World Poker Classic to etch his name on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.
Other big scores for Romero include third in the 2020 partypoker MILLIONS UK Main Event for $420,000; winning the partypoker MILLIONS Punta del Esta $25,000 High Roller for $325,000; third in the 2018 MSPT Venetian $3,500 Main Event for $291,448; second in the 2019 SHRPO Event #27: $10,000 NLH for $250,257; and winning the 2022 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Event #19: $2,200 NLH for $167,285.
