Jimmy Setna is a Canadian poker player best known for becoming the $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em champion at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas.
Like many poker players, Setna began his live poker career playing in low-stakes events. He put together several deep runs between April 2015 and 2021, his largest score being the $26,700 he collected for a 435th-place finish in the 2021 WSOP Main Event.
In June 2022, Setna finished sixth in a $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em event at the Venetian Las Vegas before finishing an impressive 15th in the 2022 WSOP Main Event for $410,000. At the 2023 WSOP, he finished ninth in the $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty event.
In April 2024, Setna won a WSOP Circuit ring for his victory in a C$1,000 Mystery Bounty event at WSOPC Montreal. He cashed in five side events during that festival.
Setna partnered with Jason James for the $1,000 Tag Team event at the 2024 WSOP, which they won for $190,910 and a gold bracelet each.
