Biography

John Gale was born in London, England back in 1953. Poker hasn��t always been in the forefront for Gale. He��s just recently began making big splashes in the tournament world.

In 2005, Gale��s first big splash came when he won the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure for nearly $900,000. That same year, Gale took to the WSOP felt and cashed four times. One of those finishes was a second-place finish to Brian Wilson in the $5,000 Pot-Limit Hold��em event for more than $200,000. Also of note in 2005, Gale placed second in an event at the Five-Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas for over $250,000.

In the beginning months of 2006, Gale ran deep in the L.A. Poker Classic where he finished twelfth for nearly $75,000. A few months later, he came in third I the World Pro-Am Challenge for $200,000 behind Gavin Smith and Scott Gardner. In the same month as that finish, Gale took down one of the Bellagio��s weekly tournaments for over $60,000.

All of that was leading up to the WSOP. Gale was able to win his first gold bracelet when he won the $2,500 Pot-Limit Hold��em event. Along with the bracelet came just under $375,000 in prize money. John also cashed in the Main Event that year.

To keep up his great tournament success, Gale placed third in the Borgata Winter Open WPT event for $443,096 in 2007. He also cashed twice more in the WSOP that year for small scores. In 2008, Gale won an event at the Bellagio Cup IV. This win netted him over $200,000. He also had another win in a preliminary event at the Borgata Poker Open that year.

John Gale is known and respected as a great gentleman both at and away from the table. He��s one of the nicest guys you��ll ever meet in poker. A relative newcomer to tournament poker, Gale has over $3.2 million in career tournament earnings.
