Matthew Asthton is one of the top poker players from the United Kingdom and is a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner.
Ashton burst onto the scene in the late 2000s and first cashed at the WSOP in 2011. The Liverpool native has easily surpassed the $3 million lifetime mark in live tournaments, according to Hendon Mob.
In 2013, he won a WSOP bracelet in the prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship for $1,774,089, the biggest score of his life. He ranks 35th all-time in England's history as far as tournament cashes.
Ashton's poker career was put aside in 2012 so he could travel the world for nearly a year. During that time, he visited 30 countries and didn't play any poker.
