Michael Liang is an American poker player who won the $777 Lucky 7's No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas.
Liang has a long list of impressive live cashes dating back to 2015. Liang won a WSOP Circuit rins in March 2016, taking down the $365 WSOPC Baltimore Re-Entry event for $182,920.
In March 2021, Liang won the $10,000 L.A. Poker Classic in Los Angeles for $175,300 and followed that up with a runner-up finish in the $5,000 WPT Venetian Main Event for $606,890. A few months later, at the delayed 2021 WSOP, Liang finished second in the $25,000 NLHE High Roller for $515,014.
At the 2022 WSOP, he again came close to winning a bracelet, finishing third in the $1,500 Closer for $247,890. He then finished fifth in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Super Turbo event at the 2023 WSOP for $51,700.
Having won a $3,000 buy-in Main Event at The Lodge Championship for $428,000 in May 2024, Liang headed to the WSOP in fine form. He cashed six times before winningEvent #93: $777 Lucky 7's No-Limit Hold'em for $777,777 and his first gold bracelet.
