Biography

Heinz was born in Odendorf, Germany on May 4, 1989. He studied business psychology in Cologne, before pursuing a career in online poker.

2010 WSOP Main Event

The 2011 WSOP was Heinz's first major live event and so far the most successful. He made his first money finish final tableing the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event and collecting over $80,000 for his 7th place finish.

After allegedly entering Day 1a of the Main Event so he could fly home as soon as possible if he busted.

"I was in Vegas since the beginning of June," he told ESPN. "I had stayed five weeks and I was just tired. I was looking forward to going home and seeing my friends and family. So, if I busted [on Day 1A], I could get out of there and go home as soon as possible."

He ended up seventh in chips at a final table featuring the likes of Martin Staszko, Eoghan O'Dea and Ben Lamb, but came out on top to win the $8,715,638 first prize.
