Richard Seymour is an American former professional footballer who played for the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders in the NFL from 2001-2012.
He was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in February 2022.
Since retiring, Seymour has played poker recreationally and has amassed over $600,000 in career earnings.
"In my spare time, I'm always studying and thinking about hands, and I'm starting to understand the theory of poker more," he told PokerNews in 2016. I have a much better understanding of the game now, I don't turn down any information. I read, I watch videos, I met some really high-end players that I talk to about the game, and I try to take a little bit of all of it."
"Big Sey" has $645,000 in live tournament cashes, according to the Hendon Mob database. In 2018, he finished third in a $25,000 high roller at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) for $376,360.
