After starting the final day of WCOOP-02-H: $10,300 [8-Max, Progressive KO, Sunday Slam] as the chip leader, Dimitar "KuuL" Danchev has also closed it out as the new WCOOP champion by defeating Mike "SirWatts" Watson heads-up for $400,495 which includes a whopping $247,813 in bounties.
Danchev is no stranger to the PokerStars events, the 2013 PCA Main Event winner has had many successes before, with almost $5 million in live cashes and a similar amount online, and gets to add another massive score here today in addition to his first WCOOP title.
In addition to Danchev and Watson, the final table was filled with the crme de la crme of the poker world with players like Joao "Naza114" Vieira, Javier "que_te_crio" Fernandez, and Jans "Graftekkel" Arends on there too for example.

The 17 players who returned today were all secured a share of the $1,500,000 guaranteed prize pool but were all battling for a bigger portion and some more bounties for their bankrolls at the start of this year's WCOOP series. After the first elimination of the day, Danchev knocked both "serggorelyi7" and Scott "Aggro Santos" Margereson out in one hand to increase his chip lead even further.
What followed was a bunch of double-ups and eliminations with Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph, Rob "batoelrob" Hollink, "Aleks Better", and Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot busting within a few minutes of each other. The final table bubble lasted one hand where Patrick "pads1161" Leonard lost all his chips to Vieira.
Almost an hour after the tournament started, the field was down to the final nine players with Danchev holding a stack of more than three times as big as Watson who was in second place by then. Watson took out Andrey "Anjeyyy" Novak before Arends fell in eighth place. Vieira busted him in a three-way all-in situation where Vieira claimed more of Danchev's chips after having doubled up already just before.
Danchev lost his chip lead for a while with it switching to Fernandez and then Vieira who kept building his stack while Ryhor "Grisha813" Karapanau and Pieter "XMorphineX" Aerts fell. Five-handed play lasted 90 minutes where Danchev managed to get his chip lead back when he flopped a wheel against Vieira.
"663Daur" busted to Fernandez before the latter fell a few minutes later to Watson when he got out-kicked. Vieira managed to win one all-in but then got all his chips in on the river when he had hit two pair but Danchev had rivered the straight to get the tournament to the heads-up stage with him having over 70% of the chips in play.
Even though Watson managed to get some extra chips at the start, he raise-called the three-bet shove of Danchev with king-queen and saw he was up against the ace-seven of the latter. The eight-nine-six-trey-five run-out of the board gave Danchev a straight to win it all, claim Watson's bounty, keep his own, and earn all the bragging rights.
