Harrah's New Orleans Poker Room Details
Harrah's New Orleans in Louisiana has long been a frequent World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) stop and a prime location for those in the South looking for poker action.
The poker room is open from 10 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. Sunday - Thursday.
In August 2021, Harrah's New Orleans became the first casino to require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter.
New Poker Room
In summer 2022, the Caesars Entertainment-owned property announced the opening of a brand-new 5,000-square-foot World Series of Poker Room equipped with 20 poker tables. The new poker room has something for everyone as it offers both cash games and tournaments at various stakes.
"The World Series of Poker brand represents the ultimate poker experience and it's only fitting we open a poker room that matches its legacy," Harrah's New Orleans General Manager Samir Mowad said when the poker room opened.
In addition to the new WSOP Poker Room, Harrah's New Orleans opened a brand-new Caesars Sportsbook inside the resort and invited NFL Hall of Famer and former New Orleans Saint Rickey Jackson to the opening.
Harrah's New Orleans Tournaments
Whether you're looking for a daily tournament or a lengthy festival, the Harrah's New Orleans Poker Room has it all. The daily tournaments take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays during the poker room's operating hours.
The poker room also plans to host a number of upcoming festivals, starting off with the 2022 Poker Gras Tournament Series featuring buy-ins ranging as low as $160 and $260. The buy-ins climb up to $600 and up to the $1,100 Krewe of FreezeOut, a No-Limit Hold'em event offering only one entry per player.
