The Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju 2019 is ongoing, with big winners thus far including Justin Bonomo in the HKD 250,000 NLH Short Deck Ante-Only Event, Devan Tang in the HKD 500,000 NLH Short Deck Ante-Only Event, and Michael Soyza in the HKD 500K NLH Six-Max Event.

Among those in Jeju to participate is Poker Hall of Famer Erik Seidel. While there he sat down to talk with Triton Poker's Peter Latham about a number of different topics, including sharing some of the reasons why after more than three decades as a poker pro Seidel remains passionate about the game.

"Being able to make a living where you don't have a boss and where you make your own hours and schedule has been a really big deal for me," says Seidel when asked about poker's appeal to him. Opportunities to travel and experience different cultures is something else he lists as a positive.

Seidel has some interesting things to say as well when asked to identify which among the younger pros he "sees himself."

"Always the quiet ones... the ones who aren't making a lot of noise, but are really excellent players," says Seidel, including David Peters and Stephen Chidwick under that heading.

Seidel also talks about what kind of job he'd have if he weren't in poker, his favorite films and comedians, and other life goals he still has (besides continuing to play and win at poker). Take a look:
