It was a quick day for "TheMufinMan", who took down the 2020 888poker Millions Superstorm Sunday Special in just over eight and half hours. They made their way through the field of 486 total entries to take down the biggest share of the $100K prize pool.

The final four players paused the action to discuss a deal, so "TheMufinMan" won $14,009 for their day's work after the deal instead of the original $19,190.

The Day's Action

Action got underway on the Sunday Special today at 1 p.m. eastern time, and when the 210 minutes of registration were over, a total of 364 players put in 122 re-entries to create a total field of 486 entries. That meant 54 players would share in the $100,000 prize pool.

Once registration closed, they played down to the money very quickly. Within 90 minutes of the close of entries, they were on the money bubble, but it took about 20 minutes to burst the bubble.

Things picked up again right after, and within an hour they were down to 20 players left and less than an hour later, the final nine were seated at the final table. Action slowed a bit at the final table, but about 15 minutes later, the elimination of "Grozzorg" from Austria started things off.

Malta's "Yakawin123" quickly followed, as did "bah23", "NakedNaked", and "Jobbi123". The final four players paused and cut a deal with Aaron "YoureMagical" Gustavson in the chip lead. They left $2,000 in the middle to play for, and Gustavson agreed to $13,899 just before two brutal hands saw him end the day in 4th place.

It took about 20 minutes for "IamBudha" to end the day in 3rd after getting it in with a dominated ace for $11,414. That set up a short heads up battle between "mieux90" and "TheMufinMan". "mieux90" was very short-stacked to start the final two, and it only took a few hands of heads up end it all when the ace-rag of "TheMufinMan" held against the suited king-queen and "mieux90" was out in 2nd for $12,618, while "TheMufinMan" bagged $14,009 for the win after the deal.
