Stewart Ballard is the new chip leader. Surprisingly the chips did not come from Liam O'Rourke, but instead from Gordon Huntly.
The hand in question began when Huntly raised it up to 110,000 from under the gun. Ballard called in the big blind and the flop was dealt. Ballard went with a check-call here when Huntly led for 210,000. The hit the turn and this time both players checked. The on the river saw Ballard lead for 230,000 and Huntly let go of his hand to send the pot to Ballard.
We realize just as well as you do that almost every post for the last two hours is about Liam O'Rourke. That's got nothing to do with our team having a biased toward the young Australian player, the simple fact is that O'Rourke is playing almost every hand.
O'Rourke recently rumbled with Stewart Ballard yet again. When O'Rourke got involved in the hand, Ballard even said, "you like playing hands with me, don't you?" O'Rourke ended up losing a small pot to Ballard as he still holds onto a slight chip lead over Ballard.
When the action was folded to Anthony Aston in the small blind, he would shove all in for 820,000 holding . Liam O'Rourke made the call holding in the big blind and some cards would be dealt on the felt.
The board ran out , with all bricks for O'Rourke as Aston took down the much-needed double.

O'Brien then three-bet to 280,000 on the button and O'Rourke then shoved all in. O'Brien had around 1,500,000 behind and opted to make the call.

This is when O'Rourke put in the check-raise, making it 350,000 to go. O'Brien quickly announced the all in and O'Rourke quickly let go of his hand, giving his head a slight shake in frustration as he did.
Liam O'Rourke has opened his game right up over the last 20 minutes or so, with barely a hand going by were he isn't involved. He recently lost some chips to Stewart Ballard when he fired a couple of bullets and then simply mucked on the river when he got picked off. He easily made those chips back that he lost though, with plenty of three-betting preflop seeing him taking down pots without going to the flop.
