Time To Play Down To One
Welcome back to The Star for the final day of the PokerStars.net Australia New Zealand Poker Tour Sydney Main Event.
A total of 27 players will be hitting the felt today with one thing on their mind and that’s the $226,812 first place prize.
But of course there can be only one champion, and at this point it is Nicholas Heather is in the best position to make a run at the title.
Close behind Heather and someone who knows what it takes to win a big tournament is 2012 Aussie Millions Main Event champion, Oliver Speidel. He’ll be one to watch today as he aims to continue his great form of the last few months.
Don’t rule out the rest of the field though as talented players such as Jim Collopy, Liam O’Rourke, Alec Smith, Gordon Huntly, and Mishel Annunu played tough poker yesterday and will be right in the thick of it today.
Throw in the likes of 2008 APPT Sydney champ Martin Rowe, 2010 ANZPT Darwin runner-up Luke Edwards and 2010 APPT Sydney fourth-place finisher Peco Stojanovski and we’ve got ourselves a very exciting day of poker.
It’s all set to kick off at 2:00 pm local time and the PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be here every step of the way as an ANZPT Sydney champion is crowned.
