James Broom Eliminated in 7th ($18,500)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

James Broom has been very active since his early double up, but has now found the rail in 7th place, courtesy of the turned gut-shot straight of Dejan Divkovic.

The hand began with broom opening the hijack to 16,000. Divkovic called out of the big blind and the dealer flipped over a {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop. Divkovic check-called a bet of 17,000 from Broom and a {6-Clubs} landed on the turn. Divkovic once again checked and this time raised it up to 100,000. Broom made the call and a {3-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Divkovic took his time here, leaning back in his chair, taking a drink, and then betting 175,000 - enough to put Broom all in.

"I flopped two pair," Broom said. "You're smiling like you want me to call so badly."

Broom squirmed in his chair, looked around the room and sort of sighed as he tossed out the call and turned over his {j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Divkovic tabled {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, with the turned straight enough to win the pot and send Broom home in 7th place.

Luke Brabin Eliminated in 8th Place ($14,200)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Then there were seven. The latest elimination began when Iori Yogo opened it up to 16,000 from the cutoff. Luke Brabin called out of the big blind and the dealer turned over a {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop. Brabin checked here and Yogo bet 22,000. Brabin then check-shoved for 116,000 and Yogo made the call.

Yogo: {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Brabin: {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Brabin was struggling with his two-pair against Yogo's trips and with a {4-Clubs} on the turn and a {9-Diamonds} on the river, it was all over in 8th place for Brabin.

Broom Wont Slow Down

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

When James Broom told the table they were in trouble after he doubled up, he wasn't lying. Since then Broom has played four out of five hands, with his latest exploits beginning when Dejan Divkovic opening to 16,000 from early position. Broom called from the cutoff and Iori Yogo aslo called, from the button.

On the {j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, Divkovic checked and Broom bet 21,000. Yogo opted to call, while Divkovic got out of the way. The {5-Diamonds} turn would see Broom lead for 31,000 and Yogo once again call.

A {5-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Broom quickly moved all in for 98,000. Yogo didn't take long to fold and with that Broom took down the pot and now has over 250,000 in chips.

Broom Wins One, Loses One

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

James Broom has stayed active since his double up. Firstly he won a hand against Philip Gidley-King that started with Broom raising to 12,000 from the cutoff and Gidley-King calling fromt he big blind. On the {8-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop, Gidley-King check-called a bet of 12,000 from Broom and then check-folded to a bet of 25,000 on the {j-Hearts} turn.

The next hand would see Marsland open to 12,000 from early position. Broom then three-bet to 26,000 from the hijack and Marsland called. On the {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop, both players checked, just as they did on the {10-Diamonds} turn. The {4-Spades} river would see Marsland lead for 38,000 and Broom call. Marsland then turned over {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Broom mucked.

Broom is Trouble

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

"Now you're in trouble," said James Broom to the table in general as he recently raked in a handy double.

It started with David Evans opening the cut off to 18,000. Broom then three-bet all in for 79,000. The rest of the table was out of the way before it was back on Evans, who made the call.

Evans: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Broom: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The {6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} board was good for Broom and with a fist bump from his fans on the rail, Broom scooped up the double to now sit with a much healthier stack.

Yogo Up Over the Million

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Iori Yogo was in middle position when he opened it up to 15,000. Dejan Divkovic made the call from the button and so too did David Evans from the big blind.

The dealer turned over a {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop and Evans checked before Yogo bet 30,000. Divkovic flicked out a call, while Evans decided to fold. The {9-Diamonds} turn would see Yogo again bet, this time 55,000. Divkovic tanked and then eventually called as a big pot was building.

The {10-Diamonds} river would see Yogo hesitate before betting 125,000. Divkovic quickly folded this time and Yogo raked in the pot to see his stack move over 1 million in chips.

Dale Folds Slick to Three Bet

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Dale Marsland was in middle position when he opened it up to 12,000. David Evans, from Marsland's direct left, three-bet to 22,000. The action was sent back around to Marsland, who went into the tank.

Marsland eventually kind of smirked and said something to Evans that we couldn't hear. Marsland then smirked again and folded {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} face up. Evans then showed his {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} as he scooped up the pot.

David Fragomeni Eliminated in 9th Place ($10,900)

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The first elimination of the day has just occurred. It began when Colin Wilford opened to 12,000 from under the gun. Folded around to David Fragomeni in the cut-off and he would move all in for 120,000. Next to act was David Evans on the button and he would also move in, with his stack at 130,000. Wilford tanked before folding his {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} face up. With that, Fragomeni was at risk and the two players turned their hands over.

Fragomeni: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Evans: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

It wasn't looking for Fragomeni and it didn't get any better as the {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} board was spread on the felt.
