flop was dealt. Bredin check-called a bet of 40,000 and a 
landed on the turn. Bredin check-called a 90,000-chip bet and a 
completed the board.
On the river, Bredin again checked and Laidlaw thought for a few moments before shrugging and checking behind. Laidlaw tabled 
for a pair of nines, while Bredin held 
for a pair of fives.
