Campion Flops the Nuts

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Dmitriy Tymoshenko has taken another hit to his stack. With the board reading {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Spades}, David Campion checked his option before facing a bet of 85,000 from Tymoshenko. He immediately announced all in for his last 147,000 in chips and was called.

Campion: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Tymoshenko: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

Campion had flopped the nut straight against Tymoshenkos top pair, and earned himself a double up when the turn and river fell the {2-Diamonds} and {6-Clubs}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{J-Hearts}, to see Brabins pair hold, as Benoit was eliminated in 21st place.

Snacks on the Go

I see countless poker players spending a fortune of time and money on refining their poker skills through strategy training, yet not giving their bodies the nourishment they need for the brain to function at it's peak performance.

It's hard to get through a 12-hour day at the tables, and your body needs all the vital nutrients to be able to handle such an enduring battle.

If this sounds like you, you're cutting your game potential short. Here are some healthy snacks (read: brain food) that I suggest to load your bag with each day before hitting the tables.

Tran Busts

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We arrived at the table to see Trung Tran and Aziz Youssef commit all their chips in on a board reading {6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Youssef confidently tabled {5-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the nut straight, as Tran could only sigh, tabling {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}. With the meaningless {2-Diamonds} falling in the river, Tran would make his way to the rail as the first player eliminated today.

Tymoshenkos Costly Arrival

The action started with Gary Benson opening to 25,000 in chips, forcing the table to fold around to the stack of Dmitriy Tymoshenko. He was making his way to the table, and just took his seat as the dealer went to muck his cards.

Whats the ruling? asked Benson, as Tymoshenko looked down at his cards before throwing out a bet of 135,000 in chips.

Hes taking his seat in time, ruled the Tournament Director.

Alright, Im all in, said Benson, committing his remaining 252,000 in chips.

Is this a set up? joked Tymoshenko, as he snap called.

Benson: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Tymoshenko: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}, to see Benson making a full house on the flop, on his way to a handy double up.

Thanks for allowing him to play the hand, said Benson, as he raked in the pot.
