Curly Gets Some Back

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Emanuel Seal has got some of his chips back.

Seal was on the button and raised it up to 200,000. Jim Psaros called and the dealer spread out a {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop. Psaros check-called a bet of 250,000 here and then check-called a bet of 350,000 on the {a-Spades} turn to see a {2-Diamonds} hit the river. This time when Psaros checked, Seal bet 500,000 and Psaros instantly called.

At showdown, Seal turned over {8-Spades}{2-Clubs} for rivered two-pair, while Psaros sent his {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} into the muck.

Curly Bleeding

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Emanuel 'Curly' Seal has been bleeding chips.

There haven't been any big hands, it's just that all the small pots have been heading in Jim Psaros' direction.

A recent hand saw Seal open the button to 250,000 and Psaros call. On the {4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Hearts} flop, Psaros check-called a bet of 300,000 and a {k-Diamonds} hit the turn. Psaros led out for 375,000 here and Seal opted to fold - just like that, another 550,000 in chips was heading away from Seal.

Big Pot Goes to Jim

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Emanuel Seal and Jim Psaros have just played out a big hand on a {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} board. By the time the river had been dealt out, there was around 2 million in the middle and it was at this point that Psaros led out for 1.2 million.

Seal, from the button, went deep into the tank and eventually opted to fold.

Despite losing this big hand, Seal had picked up a few small pots returning from the break and still has 3.6 million - good for 36 big blinds.

Denis Sekuloski Eliminated in 3rd Place (AU$90,000)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Denis Sekuloski - 3rd Place
Denis Sekuloski - 3rd Place

Just like that and two players remain for the ANZPT Sydney title.

It was Denis Sekuloski who was eliminated in 3rd place. His final hand began when Sekuloski limped the small blind. Emanuel Seal checked from the big blind and the dealer turned over a {4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop. Sekuloski led for 100,000 here and Seal flat-called. On the {8-Diamonds} turn, Sekuloski led out for 210,000 and Seal raised it up to 525,000. Back on Sekuloski and he didn't take long to move all in for around 1.7 million.

Seal snap-called and turned over {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for a flopped set.

Sekuloski, meanwhile, had the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

The king that Sekuloski needed didn't come on the {9-Clubs} river and so he was sent to the rail.

As per the flatening of the payouts, Sekuloski pockets $90,000 for that effort, while Seal now battles Jim Psaros heads-up!

Remarkable River Call

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

A remarkable hand between Emanuel Seal and Denis Sekuloski has unfolded with Sekuloski making a huge river call with his tournament life on the line.

It started with a big raise from the button by Sekuloski to 325,000. Seal made the call in the small blind and the flop landed {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Seal check-called for 225,000 and the {k-Spades} hit the turn. Seal again checked and Sekuloski fired again, this time for 400,000. Seal made the call and the {k-Clubs} river double-paired the board.

With the action on Seal, he thought for a few moments before sliding out a bet of 1,000,000 which was enough to put Sekuloski all in for his last 830,000. After a moment or two, Sekuloski shrugged and called.

Good call, sighed Seal as he opened {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for missed straight draws leaving himself with a queen kicker to the two pair on board.

Split pot, announced Sekuloski as he revealed a less impressive {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. A big call by Sekuloski for his tournament earns him a refund as the two chopped it up!

Sekuloski Folds to Curly's Raise

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

The action has been rather slow during three-handed play so far.

Here is perhaps one of the few exciting hands.

Denis Sekuloski was in the small blind and raised it up to 200,000. Emanuel Seal called from the big blind and the dealer spread out a {2-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop. Sekuloski led out for 275,000 here and it was on Seal. After a few moments, Seal raised to 575,000. Sekuloski counted out his stack, found that he had around 1.3 million behind and opted to fold. Seal flashed an {a-} as he scooped the chips.

Apart from Sekuloski losing a small amount, the three-handed stacks havent changed much.
