Le Makes Nice Flop Call

Charles Chua raised to 23,000 from the button and Nam Le called from the big blind.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Chua made a continuation bet of 28,000. Le thought for a few minutes, as he always does, before making the call.

The turn {3-Hearts} and river {4-Diamonds} were checked down and Le flipped {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} -- a courageous call on the flop that was good to ship him the pot.

Chua Doubles... Again

Quinn Do
Quinn Do
In a battle of the blinds, Quinn Do raised to 25,000 from the small blind. Action moved to Charles Chua, who quickly made it 70,000 to go. Quinn made the call.

The flop was all small spades, coming {6-Spades} {3-Spades} {5-Spades}. Quinn moved all in and was called by Chua.

Do: {10-Spades} {9-Hearts}
Chua: {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}

The turn was the {A-Diamonds}, leaving Do drawing dead. The river {J-Spades} made a flush for both players, but Chua's was higher. He doubles up again, to a total of 364,000.

Assadourian Livens Up The Crowd

Last year's APPT High Roller champion, Eric Assadourian has joined the audience to rail some of the action.

"Come on Chucky!!" he yelled as Chua fired out a standard bet. When he received a few stares from other onlookers he turned around innocently and said "Well it's so quiet in here! It's only me and Danny talking! I can't be quiet for that long!"

Assadourian is right -- this final table has developed into a serious slug-fest at the moment. Hopefully something will lighten up the crowd again shortly.

River Kind To Nam Le

Nam Le
Nam Le
Nam Le limped in from the button, Quinn Do folded his small blind and Charles Chua checked his option in the big blind.

The flop landed {2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{K-Spades} and Chua led out with a bet of 10,000. Le made the call. The {9-Spades} hit the turn and Chua fired out another bet of 15,000. Le called once more.

The {10-Diamonds} was the river and Chua fired a healthy third barrel worth 50,000. After a few minutes of thought Le announced a raise to 125,000. Chua called and Le flipped {K-?}{10-?} for a rivered two pair to better the {K-?}{2-?} of Chua.

Le is now out in front with 530,000 and Chua finds himself once again on the short stack.

The Chuck Truck Doubles Again

Charles Chua
Charles Chua
Andrew Scott was the first person in the pot, raising to 22,000 from under the gun. He was called by Quinn Do from the small blind before Charles Chua put on the squeeze by raising all in from the big blind for a total of 148,000. After a minute in the tank, Quinn called.

Chua: {10-Clubs} {4-Spades}
Do: {8-Spades} {8-Hearts}

"Charles in a bit of a bother here," said Tournament Director Danny McDonagh. It was an understatement, but really Chua's hand was no worse than if he had moved in with {A-Clubs} {4-Spades}.

The flop was {9-Hearts} {2-Spades} {5-Hearts}, no help to Chua, but he hit his gin card on the turn with the {10-Spades}. Only an eight could eliminate Chua on the river, and it didn't happen. The river was the {3-Hearts}, and Chua's magical run of the last week and a half continues. Ten four, good buddy.

Le Takes One Back

Nam Le raised to 21,000 from under the gun and Quinn Do made the call on the button. They saw a {Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop, where Le fired out a bet of 29,000. Do laid down his hand and Le scoops the pot.

Le Squeezed by Do

Nam Le opened the pot with a raise to 22,000 from the button. Quinn Do, next to act, made it 64,000, folding Charles Chua. Le went into the tank for over two minutes before finally releasing his hand.

Do Accumulating

Quinn Do
Quinn Do
Andrew Scott raised to 22,000 on the button and Quinn Do defended in the big blind.

The flop arrived {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Do checked to Scott who bet out for 35,000. Do made the call.

The turn brought the {6-Hearts} and both players checked. The {2-Diamonds} hit the river and again both checked.

Do showed {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for two pair, fives and threes, which was good to collect the pot. Do now has a clear chip lead with over 450,000 chips.
