Gill Absolutely Steamed

Carter Gill
Carter Gill
Yet again, Carter Gill opened a pot for 10,000. This time, it wasn't Quinn Do who reraised him. It was Kuok Wai Will Cheong, who reraised all in to 47,500, and Kevin MacPhee, who reraised all in over Cheong to 210,000.

After MacPhee raised, Gill stood up from the table and let fly a string of expletives. "Look!" he said, showing {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} in his hand. "I'm not raising light!" He continued on a tirade for about a minute, saying that he hoped MacPhee didn't have ace-queen or tens, then angrily threw his cards into the muck and slammed his chair down on the floor.

With Gill out of the way, Cheong and MacPhee opened their hands: {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades} for Cheong and {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} for MacPhee. Cheong was the winner by making a pair of eights on a board of {9-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}. Gill seemed pleased that he didn't commit the chips and lose the hand, but went for a walk around the tournament area after the pot had been pushed to Cheong in order to try to regain some composure.
