Wally Sombero has become one of the first big name's to be eliminated from the field.

Sombero raised preflop with {k-?}

and took an opponent with {4-?}

to the flop.

Unfortunately for Sombero the flop brought a {4-?}

and worse still, all the chips went in.

Sombero wasn't able to catch a re-draw and has been eliminated from the tournament. Sombero's appearance at the tournament was an achievement in itself. Just a few months ago the former high ranking police officer was shot eight times during an assassination attempt.

Many here in the room are extremely happy to see Sombero in good spirits and healty, back at the tables enjoying the game he loves.
