Levy Rivered

With the first action on Grant Levy, he opened with a raise to 52,000 and Vladimir Geshkenbein was the lone caller.

Levy lead for 81,000 on the {6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} board and Geshkenbein quickly made the call behind him.

When the turn dropped the {10-Clubs}, Levy checked to Geshkenbein who slid out a bet of 150,000. Levy deliberated for a little before cutting down a re-raise to 300,000.

Looking very confused, Geshkenbein took a few minutes before calling to see the {J-Hearts} land on the river.

Levy cut down three and a bit stacks of yellow 5,000-denomination chips amounting to a bet of 340,000.

Confused yet again, Geshkenbein just shook his head back and forth before announcing a call.

"You got me" commented Levy tabling his {A-Spades}{4-Spades}.

Geshkenbein quickly tabled his {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for a rivered pair and breathed a sigh of relief before Levy stood up, muttered a few words under his breath and stared at the pot then at his railbrids.

As Geshkenbein soars to 1,810,000, Levy has stumbled down to 755,000 in chips.

In Wook Choi Eliminated In 6th Place ($35,091)

In Wook Choi eliminated in 6th place
In Wook Choi eliminated in 6th place
Vladimir Geshkenbein opened to 42,000 from middle position and Neil Arce made the call on the button before In Wook Choi bumped it to 163,000 out of the small blind.

Geshkenbein passed but Arce made the call to see the {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop drop and a check from Choi.

Arce thought for barely ten seconds before pushing all in to put Choi to a decision for his tournament life.

Choi looked visibly distressed, but made the call.

Choi: {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Arce: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

With Choi drawing virtually dead, the {2-Spades} on the turn would see his fate sealed as he went to shake hands with Arce as the {5-Hearts} dropped on the river.

Choi's efforts won't go unrewarded as he picks up $35,091 for his sixth placing.

"Can't let me have the chip lead for a minute!" sniggered Grant Levy towards Arce as he raked in the pot to move to 2,171,000 in chips.

Young Kim Eliminated in 7th Place ($35,091)

Young Kim - 7th Place
Young Kim - 7th Place
Young Kim has just been eliminated from the tournament by Grant 'grunter' Levy, in a hand that has hoisted Levy to the top of the leaderboard for the second time today.

Levy opened the pot with a raise to 52,000 and Kim -- sitting to Levy's immediate left -- three-bet, making it 152,000 to play. Action then folded around the table to Levy who announced "All in."

Kim tanked for a solid three minutes before eventually making the call with a pocket pair of eights. Levy's {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} had Kim crushed.

The community cards fell {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Spades} giving Levy an overkill nut straight to win the pot and send Kim to the rail our 7th place finisher.

Levy Chips Up In Wook Choi

In Wook Choi entered the pot with a raise to 80,000 and was met with a call from Grant Levy on the button, along with Gap Young Kim and Valdimir Geshkenbein from the blinds.

Choi lead for 80,000 on the {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, only to have Levy bump it to 200,000. The blinds quickly passed and Choi pushed all of his 322,000 into the middle. Levy called and the cards were tabled.

Choi: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}
Levy: {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Choi would fade the outdraw when the turn and river landed the {Q-Clubs} and {4-Spades} to see him double through to 845,000 as Levy slips to 1,170,000 in chips.

Early Final Table Fireworks

Danny Huynh has been active early, having moved all in two hands back-to-back, both times over the top of preflop raises made by Vladimir Geshkenbein. Both times, Geshkenbein folded.

In the third of three consecutive Huynh v. Geshkenbein mini battles, Geshkenbein opened with a raise again, but instead of moving all in, Huynh raised to just 140,000. Suspicious of the smaller amount, Geshkenbein immediately folded {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} face up on the table, prompting Hunnh to show {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

Huynh has since climbed back up over the 500,000 mark.

Nicolas Wong Eliminated In 8th Place ($21,055)

In Wook Choi opened to 40,000 from under the gun, only to be followed by Nicolas Wong announcing raise and throwing in 60,000.

After the Tournament Director was called over, it was ruled that Wong had to make it 64,000 to go.

Action folded round to Neil Arce in the big blind and he re-raised to 250,000. Choi passed to see Wong commit his 220,000-chip stack.

Wong: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Arce: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The flop of {Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} kept Arce in the lead, and when the {J-Hearts} fell on the turn, Wong's outs were cut down to just the four remaining tens in the deck.

Unfortunately for Wong, the river would land the {4-Diamonds} to see him hit the rail in 8th place for a payday of $21,055 as Arce soars to the chip lead with 1,450,000 in chips.
