Young Phan is with us this morning and already making his mark on the tournament. We caught him heads up on the river against one opponent. With 10,500 chips in the pot, the board read {k-Spades}

. Phan's opponent made a rather sizable bet of 11,000. Phan stared at the board, then at the bet, then threw a matching call into the pot.

"Good call," said Phan's opponent. He kept his cards face down and slid them across the felt to the dealer, who pitched them into the muck. Phan waited for the dealer to push the pot ad then surrendered his own cards, never opening them.

Phan is up to 34,000.
