Two for Chiu

We missed Eric Assadourian's opening raise from late position but saw David Chiu's response from the big blind. He moved all in for an additional 21,400 over the raise.

"I don't think you have much," said Assadourian. "I don't have much either but I don't think you have much." Chiu's response was to toss his cards towards the player to seats to his left.

"I call," said Assadourian, and the cards were on their backs. It turns out Assadourian was wrong. Chiu had {9-Spades} {9-Hearts} and was in the lead against Assadourian's {A-Spades} {8-Spades}.

"I'm gonna hit it," Assadourian asserted confidently. When the flop fell {4-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} to give him a pair of eights, he added, "That's a start. Now how about a spade."

The turn was not a spade. It was the {3-Clubs}. "That's no good," said a glum Assadourian. He had to pay Chiu off after the {3-Hearts} river.

"David Chiu doubles up," said TD Danny McDonagh on the microphone. "Nice to see him here in Macau."

"Not really," Assadourian muttered. "Nice hand, David."
