McLean Climbs Over One Million

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Antoine Amourette entered the pot from the button with a 45,000-chip raise and was called by both Jonathan Karamalikis and Benjamin McLean from the blinds.

On the {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop, McLean led out from the big blind with a 56,000-chip bet with Amourette and Karamalikis making the call as the {k-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Karamalikis checked as McLean fired out 78,000. Amourette kicked his cards to the muck before Karamalikis made the call to see the {8-Clubs} land on the river and both players check it through.

McLean tabled his {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for a turned top pair, and after re-checking his hole cards, Karamalikis pushed them towards the muck while slipping to 800,000 as McLean climbs to 1,150,000 in chips.

All Love for Rafferty

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 2,000 ante

From middle position, Ben McLean raised to 46,000. Peco Stojanovski called on the button and then Tom Rafferty was up to act in the small blind. He three-bet to 107,000 and play folded back to Stojanovski. He made the call after a minute and the flop came down {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

With a lot of love on the flop, Rafferty fired 150,000. Stojanovski mucked his hand and slipped to 925,000 in chips. Rafferty moved to one million.

Sabat Limps, Wins Pot

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Eddy Sabat limped in from the button and both Peco Stojanovski and Tom Rafferty completed and checked their options from the blinds.

On a {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} flop, Sabat fired out 26,000 and was called by just Rafferty as both players tapped the table when the {5-Hearts} landed on the turn.

As the dealer dropped the {10-Hearts} on the river, Rafferty checked and Sabat pushed out a bet of 70,000 to prompt a fold from Rafferty as Sabat climbs to 950,000 in chips.

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated in 9th Place (A$36,415)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu - 9th Place
Daniel Negreanu - 9th Place

Play folded over to Roland de Wolfe in middle position and he limped in for 20,000. Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu completed from the small blind and then Antoine Amourette checked his option in the big blind.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Negreanu paused to think. He then pushed his chips across the betting line for an all-in bet worth 245,000. After Amourette folded, de Wolfe snap-called and tabled the {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for bottom set. Negreanu held the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for top pair.

The turn card brought the {10-Diamonds} and that gave Negreanu a nice sweat going to the river. He'd now need a queen, ten or a six to stay alive. When the river card was turned over, the {7-Spades} was revealed and missed Negreanu. De Wolfe's flopped bottom set held and he eliminated the superstar in ninth place while moving to 1.22 million in chips.

"I'll pay 50,000 Australian dollars for a new river card!" yelled out Negreanu. Unfortunately for him, that's not in the rules.

Negreanu walked away with A$36,415 in prize money and added another final table for the notch on the belt.

Stojanovski Raises Flop

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

From early position, Antoine Amourette raised to 45,000. Peco Stojanovski called from the button and the two players saw the flop come down {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Amourette's continuation bet was worth 56,000, but Stojanovski wanted to play for more. He raised to 140,000 and won the pot.

Amourette Cracks de Wolfe's Aces

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Antoine Amourette entered the pot from the cutoff with a raise to 45,000 only to have Roland de Wolfe three-bet to 110,000 from the big blind.

Amourette made the call, and when faced with a bet of 140,000 from de Wolfe on the {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop, he proceeded to call that too.

With the dealer dropping the {7-Clubs} on the turn, de Wolfe deliberated for some time before checking to Amourette who casually slid out two stacks amounting to a bet of 210,000.

De Wolfe - while looking a little puzzled - made the call as the {6-Spades} landed on the river. De Wolfe checked, and Amourette fired out bet of 331,000 that was near-insta called by de Wolfe.

Amourette flipped over his {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} as de Wolfe tabled his {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} to relinquish the pot while sliding down to 810,000. With that pot, Amourette soars out to the chip lead with 2,550,000 in chips.

Big Call from Rafferty After Stojanovski Check-Raises River

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

From under the gun, Tom Rafferty raised to 46,000. Action folded all the way around to Peco Stojanovski in the big blind and he made the call to see a flop.

The flop came down {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Stojanovski checked. Rafferty fired 71,000 as his continuation bet and Stojanovski snap-called.

The turn card was the {A-Clubs} and Stojanovski checked. Rafferty checked behind. The {A-Spades} then fell on the river, pairing the board. Stojanovski checked and Rafferty thought for a solid minute before firing 125,000. He had 320,000 behind and Stojanovski was thinking. Eventually, Stojanovski asked Rafferty if he wanted a call. Then Stojanovski said, "Make it 350," to the shock of the table.

Rafferty was drawn back by the raise and began talking to himself. He was questioning whether Stojanovski would really check a flush on the river. He also brought up the possibility of nine-seven for a straight. He finally shoved the chips in and Stojanovski tapped the table before turning over the {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for just aces and fives. Rafferty revealed the {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and a better two pair and won the pot.

Rafferty moved to over a million in chips with this solid call while Stojanovski dropped back to 1.14 million.
