Mariakis Moving Up

Michael Mariakis is now sitting behind a pretty nice stack early, with a recent hand seeing him move up to around 30,000. It started when Yasuhiro Waki limped from early position. A middle position player then made it 1,650. Mariakis threw in enough chips from the big blind and when Waki got out of way, a 
flop was dealt.
Mariakis check-called a bet of 2,100 from his opponent and then both players checked the 
turn. The 
on the river saw Mariakis again check and this time his opponent bet 7,000. Mariakis took his head phones out of his ears and pondered the call. Eventually he flicked in 7,000 and turned over his
