Crisis Averted
Whenever a tournament director is called to a table, its usually a good sign that something interesting is going down. So when we saw the floor called to the table of Michael Kanaan, we scurried over to check it out.
Kanaan had raised the button the minimum to 3,600. Kua Wei Zhong was in the small blind and he three-bet to 8,000. Nothing out of the ordinary there. When Kanaan tried to four-bet to 14,100, thats where there mustve been some dispute about the minimum bet size.
Usually the minimum is the size of the previous raise, however we have seen some casinos enforce the rule that the minimum is the size of the previous bet. Some quick number crunching was performed and the raise stood. Zhong decided to make the call and they saw a flop of . Zhong checked and Kanaans bet of 16,000 was enough to take it down. Crisis averted.
