Salter Spikes the River to Double Through Pantling
Level 1
: 500/1,000, 0 ante
Things have been going great for Andrew Pantling here in Level 1. He had nearly doubled his stack, but then disaster struck in the last hand before the level up.
With around 40,000 in the pot and a flop of , Pantling bet 22,000 only to have Jack Salter, who had gotten off to a bad start, raise to 58,000. Pantling proceeded to slide out a big stack of red T25,000 chips and Salter quickly called off for 142,000 total.

Pantling had flopped top pair with top kicker, but Salter was drawing very much alive with both straight and flush draws. The turn was no help to Salter, but the river was. It actually completed both his draws, but of course the flush is what played to give him the double.
