Steve O'Dwyer was able to accumulate some chips in the first level of the day already and just witnessed a bizarre double up for Yoshiro Nagata. The Japanese had raised from the hijack and was called by Wan Zhang out of the big blind. On the turn, Zhang bet 3,200 and called a raise to 11,000 by the Japanese before checking the river.
Nagata shoved for his last 9,800 and then tapped the table when his opponent reluctantly called, expecting to be out of the event with his . But wait, Zhang double-checked his cards and sent them into the muck? The dealer obliged to the all in showdown and flipped over and quite a few of the other players on the table let out gasps and "really?". Nagata himself kind of giggled.
