Nakai Showing His Dominance Late
Takihiro Nakai has gone unnoticed for most of the day as he quietly built himself a stack amassing 170,000 in chips.
In a recent hand he tussled against Dong Kim which could’ve resulted in two of the biggest stacks committing all their chips.
Nakai started proceedings with a bet of 2,200 from middle position before Kim raised it up to 7,500 from the hijack. Nakai then bumped it up to 17,800 and was called before both players watched the flop come down .
With just under 40,000 in the pot, Nakai stared down Kim’s stack, before announcing all in for around 150,000 ini chips. The bet had Kim well covered and he opted to let his hand go as another large pot was pushed over to Nakai.
Nakai now has 190,000 in chips as he clearly leads the rest of the field. Kim drops down to 70,000 and will still take through a healthy stack to Day 2.
