A crazy hand happened a short while ago and featured Mustapha Kanit and John Juanda. The chips went in on a flop containing two deuces and Kanit opened the other two for flopped quads. Juanda was all but out with pocket sixes but the turn and river came six-six to double him up with quads over quads.
Nan Tu was had a roller coaster day and was finally eliminated in 3rd place by Thomas Ward.
Tu raised on the button to 120,000 and Ward called. The flop was and Ward checked. Tu bet 75,000 and Ward shoved all in. Tu snap called.
Tu had for two pair and Ward had an open-ended straight draw . Similar to the hand where Ward busted Hsien Yuan Yang, where Yang had a set against the straight draw of Ward. Ward made his straight on that hand and he rivered the straight on this hand also when the board completed , giving Ward the straight and eliminating Tu in 3rd place.
Thomas Ward and Nan Tu just played a big pot. There was no flop, but a lot of chips changed hands.
Ward raised to 130,000 on the button. Tu reraised from the small blind to 275,000. Ward didn't look like he was going to fold and when he reached for his chips and four-bet 560,000 it was confirmed.
Tu eyed his remaining stack, pondering his next move. He then shoved all in and before the crowd realized what was happening, Ward had already folded.
