Day 1b of the APPT Manila Main Event Starts Now

The second and final starting flight for the PokerStars.net APPT Manila Season 9 Main Event will kick off at 14:30 local time inside the City of Dreams Grand Ballroom in Manila, Philippines today.
Thursday's first starting flight drew a total of 260 entries, already matching the total number of entries for the entire event during Season 8 and even more players are expected to pony up the PHP 50,000 buy-in today. Just 75 players survived through nine levels on Day 1a with Swedish-born Filipino resident Douglas Olsson taking the overnight lead.
Players will begin with the same 20,000-chip starting stack and plans to play the same nine levels today. The first three levels are 40 minutes each and rise to 60 minutes thereafter. Registration is open for the first four hours and players may re-enter one time if things don't work out on the first try. Plus, those who bagged short on Day 1a can take another shot, carrying their best stack forward to Saturday's Day 2.
Vietnam's Thanh Ha Duong took down the title at the Metro Card Club last year winning PHP 3,472,000 and he is expected to join the Day 1b field in defense of his title today.
