Tournament Room Paradise City

The second and last flight of the ?1,800,000 APPT Main Event is slated to begin tonight at 6 p.m. local time on the poker tables at the Paradise City Casino. The defending champion is Malaysian pro Michael Soyza, who already bagged the second biggest stack of the Day 1A flight.

Last year had 449 total entries total from both flights and should be an easy goal to beat after the Day 1A flight brought in a huge 222 registration slips, destroying last years Day 1A total of 182. Day 1B is expected to be larger than the first flight with many of notable players said to be joining the field including PokerStars Ambassador Celina Lin, Danny Tang, Natalie Teh, Dong Guo, Pete Chen, Yake Wu, Jun Obara, and Randy Lew.

All players will have a starting stack of 30,000 and will play a total of 13, 40-minute levels. There will be a 10-minute break after every three levels except for the last four levels of the night where there will be no break. Any player may re-enter one time after their initial buy-in and players will have until the start of level 10 to late register or re-enter. Anyone who makes it until the end of level 13 will bag up and move onto Day 2, where the blinds will switch to 60-minutes. The tournament will be played with the new and popular Big Blind Ante format, in an all-in situation the Big Blind will be posted prior to the Ante.
