Sass Ends On a High Note

Alan Sass was discussing how he could simply bust this tournament and go play big cash games elsewhere, but with the finishing run he had on Day 2, he'll be back and healthy for Day 3.

After Jay Tan raised to 2,500, Sass reraised all in for 18,500. Tan made the call with the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} to have Sass on the ropes with the {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. The flop, turn and river ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and Sass doubled.

Then, Sass got all the money in with the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} on the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop against Team PokerStars Pro Angel Guillen. Guillen held the {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for one overcard and a flush draw. The turn was the {3-Spades}, and river the {9-Spades}. Both missed Guillen, and he was left with under 10,000 in chips.

On the next hand, Guillen raised all in from under the gun for 8,600. This was also the last hand at the table for the night, and Guillen received no callers. He showed the {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} before bagging up 10,700 for the night.
