Zhou Turns Chan

On the button, Xing Zhou raised to 80,000. Ying Kit Chan made the call from the big blind, and the flop came down {Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Chan checked to the preflop aggressor, and Zhou fired 100,000. Chan put in a check-raise to 240,000, and Zhou wasted little time in making the call.

The turn was the {8-Spades}, and both players checked. Then, the river completed the board with the {J-Diamonds}, and both players checked again.

Chan turned up the {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for ace high, but Zhou had picked up a pair of eights on the turn with the {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} to win the pot. Chan's hand was mucked, and he was left with a very puzzle look on his face.
