Tough Table Seven

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Table 7 is one of the tougher tables to kick off Day 1c of APPT Auckland.

Some of those at the table include Kiwi local and Macau regular Thomas Ward, 2011 Aussie Millions champ David Gorr, Jesse “On the Mac” McKenzie and Western Australians Patrick Healy and Sal Fazzino.

We recently watched Gorr and Fazzino battle it out in a hand, picking up the action on the {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop.

Fazzino was in the under-the-gun position and it was checked to him with Gorr in the small blind. Fazzino bet 325 and Gorr made the call to bring about the {k-Hearts} on the turn. This time when Gorr checked Fazzino bet 625. Gorr called and the board completed with a {5-Diamonds}.

Gorr tapped the table for a third time and Fazzino checked behind.

At showdown, Fazzino hesitated and Gorr tabled his {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a pair of queens. That was enough to send Fazzino’s cards into the muck.

Despite winning this hand, Gorr has started off slowly as he currently sits with 14,500.

Fazzino is just a little under starting stack.
