The Lows and Highs of Van Marcus
In a hand with one short-stacked player all in, Van Marcus re-raised pre-flop to 25,000 and received another caller.
There is then confusion with the dealer struggling to get the size of the side pot correct, much to the annoyance of Marcus. In frustration he decides to put his opponent all in on the flop in the dark. The flop brings and Marcus feeling confident, encourages his opponent to make the call. He eventually does and Marcus has two players all in:
Marcus:
Opponent 1:
Opponent 2:
Marcus is well ahead, but disasterously the turn and river come and incredibly both of his opponents make straights.
The very next hand Marcus raises from the small blind and appears to be seriously tilted. Marcus fires three barrels on the board of and gets action from his opponent. Marcus flips over and his opponent mucks and amazingly the chip stack of Van Marcus is restored once again to around 85,000.
