Potter Eliminated in the Biggest Pot of the Day

Australian James Potter was just eliminated from the main event by Henrik Gwinner in what turned out to be the biggest pot of the day thus far.

Gwinner opened the pot with a 3,500 raise from the button and Potter was the lone caller in the small blind. The flop came down {A-Spades}

and Potter passed the first action to Gwinner who led out with a 7,000 bet. Potter, holding the {A-Diamonds}

- good for top two pair - opted to put in a raise, making it 17,000 to go; Gwinner made the call.

The turn brought the {Q-Spades}

and again, Potter gave the first action to Gwinner who fired a 25,000 bullet. The move prompted Potter to shove all in over the top of Gwinner's bet for a total of 57,700. Gwinner then went into the tank for quite some time, eventually having the clock called on him, but in the end he made the call and turned over the {J-Hearts}
