Akerblom Crippled, then Eliminated

In a hand that took almost ten minutes to play, Rasmus Akerblom has seen his stack decimated from almost 55,000 to just 1,500. He asked the big blind at the table how much that player was playing behind before opening from the cutoff for 2,900. The button, Kristoffer Myhre, tanked a long time before raising to 7,400.

That raise quickly cleared the blinds and brought the action back to Akerblom. He tanked for ages himself before moving all in. Myhre went into the tank a second time.

"Why go all in?" a puzzled Myhre asked. "Ok, I call."

"Good call," said Akerblom.

"Is it?" Myhre asked as the hands were tabled.

Akerblom: {K-Hearts} {10-Hearts}
Myhre: {8-Clubs} {8-Spades}

The board rolled out no help for Akerblom, {2-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {3-Spades}. When the stacks were counted down, Myhre had 53,300. Once Akerblom paid that, he was left with 1,500. That doesn't go far when the ante is 200. Akerblom was out a few hands later.
