Anthony Kingston Eliminated in 7th Place ($34,290)

Anthony Kingston Eliminated in 7th Place ($34,290)
Anthony Kingston Eliminated in 7th Place ($34,290)
Anthony Kingston raised to 200,000 preflop, only to see Trung Tran reraise all in for 1,225,000. Kingston committed his remaining 665,000, tabling {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} but was in strife against the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} of Tran.

The flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} brought a few more outs, but neither the {j-Diamonds} on the turn or the river {q-Clubs} were of any help, ending Kingston's tournament life.

Tran's patience has paid off - he's now well within reach of the big stacks with just over 2.1 million in chips.

Tran Takes Another

Edmonds made it 130,000 and Trung Tran called from the big blind.

Both checked the {J-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {2-Hearts} flop before Tran bet out 160,000 on the {4-Spades} turn. The {8-Clubs} on the river caused both players to be cautious and they both checked again.

Tran showed {J-Hearts} {8-Hearts} for two pair and Edmonds mucked.

More For Ephraums

Matthew Ephraums raised to 150,000 and Glenn Croft called in the big blind.

Ephraums continued the aggression betting 175,000 on the {5-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} flop which Croft called. But when Ephraums bet 300,000 on the {9-Diamonds} turn, Croft shook his head and gave up the hand.

Kingston's Chances Suffer A Tranwreck

Anthony Kingston raised to 125,000 preflop from the small blind and fired 150,000 on the {J-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {4-Spades} flop. Trung Tran called both these bets from the big blind and then moved all-in for around 500,000 on the {9-Spades} turn.

Kingston drops to 880,000. Tran up to 1,075,000.

The action folded around to Jim Mastorakos who raised to 115,000 from the cutoff. Trung Tran folded on the button, as did Glenn Croft on the small blind, before Brendan Edmonds reraised to 290,000 from the big blind.

Mastorakos called and they went heads-up to a flop of {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

Edmonds announced he was all in. Mastorakos looked strained, going deep into the tank before making a crying call, turning up {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a flush draw, but was behind the {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} of Edmonds, who had flopped two pair.

The turn of the {5-Clubs} improved neither hand, so it was all down to the river, which was a useless {3-Clubs}.

Mastorakos couldn't rush to the cage fast enough - we suspect it was because he was frustrated, but we reckon his eighth place prizemoney should be able to turn that frown upside down.

Incidentally, Edmonds is now the outright chip leader with close to 4 million in his stack.

Rawiller Doubles Through

In the very next hand after the elimination of Aaron Wilt, Brad Rawiller pushed all in from under the gun for his last 545,000 and the action folded around to Brendan Edmonds who called from the big blind.

Edmonds: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Rawiller: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The board was spread {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}; Rawiller high-fived his friends on the rail, then sat back down to rake in a pot worth 1,130,000. Edmonds is back to 2.14 million.

Aaron Wilt Eliminated in 9th Place ($13,716)
Aaron Wilt got his remaining stack in preflop, pushing all-in from UTG with Brendan Edmonds calling in the big blind.

Wilt: {9-Spades} {9-Clubs}
Edmonds: {A-Spades} {K-Clubs}

A decisive {K-Spades} {J-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {10-Spades} {10-Hearts} board meant we lose the last remaining Deuces Cracked player.

Edmonds is up to 2,850,000.

Attention Ladies And Gentlemen! We Saw A Turn!

Generally, it's still as cagey as a cagey caged bird owned by Nicolas Cage.

But we've just seen the smallest edge of action, Aaron Wilt opened in middle position and Jim Mastorakos called.

Both checked the {8-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} flop before Wilt check/folded to a 230,000 bet on the turn.

Edmonds Rebuilds

Jim Mastorakos raised to 110,000 and Brendan Edmonds reraised to 280,000 from the small blind. Mastorakos called but then folded to a 300,000 bet on the {8-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {2-Spades} flop.
