Benson Doubles

We caught the action between James Obst and Gary Benson on the flop of {10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Benson check-called Obst's 4,300 bet.

The turn brought the {9-Clubs} and again, Benson check-called Obst's bet (8,600).

The {5-Diamonds} fell on the river, but this time, Benson check-raised all in when Obst bet 22,000. Obst made the call and Benson turned over {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for the rivered wheel. Obst mucked his cards and is now down to 136,000, while Benson is up to 171,000.

Stanley Hou Eliminated in 8th Place ($18,560 AUD)

In a limped pot preflop betweet Stewart Scott, Stanley Hou, and Antonio Fazzolari, the flop came down {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

Scott checked the flop. Hou made it 3,500 to go and found a caller in Fazzolari before Scott raised all in. Hou made the call and Fazzolari folded.

Scott: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Hou: {q-Spades}{6-Spades}

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} completing Scott's queen high diamond flush and Hou was sent to the rail when the meaningless {q-Hearts} hit the river.

After the hand, Manny Stavropoulous asked the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event reigning champ, "How do you turn a flush there? Are there 50 diamonds in the deck?"

Two Deep

The rail is still packed here at the Crown Casino Poker Room for this final table. The rail is about 2 or 3 people deep and everyone is craning their necks around each other to get a glimpse of the action. We haven't been up to Studio 3 to see the $100,000 Challenge yet (we have another fantastic team up there), but we're sure it's packed too. Some of the biggest names in poker are playing today.

If you're out and about in Melbourne, stop by the poker room at the Crown and say hi.

Fazzolari Doubles

Antonio Fazzolari and Stanley Hou got it all in preflop this time.

Fazzolari held {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Hou tabled {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

The flop came down {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and the crowd that has gathered on the rail thought we were going to lose one, but the turn {9-Diamonds} had other plans.

The {j-Clubs} on the river did nothing for Hou and Fazzolari doubled up.

Nicolas Faure Eliminated in 9th Place ($13,920 AUD)

Nicolas Faure made it 3,600 to go preflop and found two callers in Mike Watson and Florian Langmann.

The flop came down {4-Clubs}{j-Spades}{a-Diamonds} prompting Langmann to check. Faure made it 5,600 to go. Watson made the call and Langmann folded.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds}. Faure checked and Watson fired out a bet of 11,200. Faure fired back with an all in shove and Watson made the call.

The river brought the {Q-Clubs}. Watson showed {A-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a boat, besting Faure's trips with his {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}.

No Sound of Music

The tournament staff has just informed Stewart Scott, Stanley Hou, and Gary Benson that they would have to remove their headphones, as they are not allowed at the final table.
