Event #10: No-Limit Hold'em Teams Event
Day 1 Completed
Last year, 109 players came out for the AUD$1,100 No-Limit Hold'em Teams Event. The buy-in this year was halved to AUD$550 and even more entrants came out as expected. In all, 188 teams played the event and created a AUD$94,000 prizepool.
The final table was packed with Australians, but they're not the ones who kept this year's title on home ground. Christian Svenson from the U.S.A. teamed up with Neil Stewart from the U.K. and went on to win the event. The bested New Zealanders Jackson Zheng teamed with World Series of Poker bracelet winner and Full Tilt Red Pro Simon Watt. For their win, Svenson and Stewart took home AUD$21,000 each.
