O Hai, Omaha Are Ya?
The PokerNews Live Reporting Team is back down in the Crown Casino Poker Room once again to bring you live coverage of the third tournament of the 2011 Aussie Millions schedule – the $1,100 Pot Limit Omaha event.
We've already had a champion crowned – just over four hours ago, Australia's Martin Drewe outlasted a field of 1,000 entrants to pick up a smidge over AUD$200,000 and the first gold ring of the series after his victory in the $1,100 Opening Event. Now, it's time to get some PLO going and this event should be a pearler, particularly when this year's champion will be on the honor roll below Annette Obrestad.
The 2007 WSOP Europe Main Event champion is expected to take her seat in today's event to defend her crown, and a little birdie tells us that Full Tilt Red Pro James Akenhead 2010 Aussie Millions winner Tyron Krost are also amongst the those who will be playing today.
The action will be getting underway in about 45 minutes time, so be sure to keep your browser locked onto PokerNews for all the updates. See you soon!
