Dinner Break

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

The remaining three players are heading on a 30-minute dinner break.

Make sure to join us for the re-commencement of play at approximately 8:10 p.m EST.

Some Controversies... No More!

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Tournament Director Christian Vaughan has just spoken to the PokerNews team on the media desk about the controversies over the dinner break from earlier in the level.

The Aussie Millions Main Event structure sees that the final table switches to 75-minute levels, but for 2011 they were left at two hours so that players could get maximum play when each decision matters more.

Due to the TV production of the final table, although the structure of the final table remained at two-hour levels, the dinner break was cut in half to just thirty-minutes.

"We figure players would prefer longer levels then a long break!" stated Vaughan in reference to the short break.

Most players do prefer long breaks, but when AUD$3,735,000 is being played for, longer levels would probably be the preferred option to maximize their skills on the felt in comparison to their skills of chomping down some food!

"And we're buying them dinner!" cheekily added Vaughan as he returned to announcing the final table action live from Studio 3 in the Crown Casino Complex.
