No Respect for his Elder
Rupert Elder entered a hand bounty hunting and exited the hand upsetting another player greatly.
The table bounty, Brendan Ruby, opened to 225 from the hijack and was called by the cut-off player before Rupert Elder squeezed to 675 from the button. Ruby folded but the other player called to the flop.
Elder c-bet for 800 and called when his opponent check-raised to 1,800. The turn brought the and Elder faced a 2,600 bet that he treated to an all-in push for 6,375. Snap call.
The cut-off player opened for a set. Elder opened the drawing and that prompted his opponent to go. “F##k” as if he knew that the river was coming as the to complete the Brit’s flush.
Elder swiftly left the table to go and grab some water, and it was probably just as well. His opponent was pretty upset and the cursing from his mouth continued until we left the scene.
Elder’s good friend, Dominik Nitsche, who also “got there” today commented with, “Well played, Rupert, well played.”
